Flowers, Dutch ovens, & fathers

Last year we spent some serious time & money investing in our yard. This year, it paid off. I love all the colors. And how about that lush velvet green grass? John is the green king.John's parents have a Dutch oven catering business. They cater for wedding receptions, family reunions, work parties, you name it. John and his siblings help them out whenever they can. Recently they catered a 55th high school reunion for about 50 people. It was fun to help and watch all the action close up. Here are John, Bob, & Nate (John's "little" brother) cooking:Here are the wives supervising. We did help; we were just taking a break. :DThese 5 Dutch ovens have barbecue chicken, potatoes, & baked beans. Two more ovens were added with cobblers - raspberry & peach. The food is so yummy!Happy Father's Day Johnny! He is such a good dad! He was sad McKelle could not be with us, but so happy to spend the day with Jake & Jyson. We also shared the day BBQing with John's dad & family. I called and talked to my dad on the phone. We love our dads and are so grateful to have good men in our lives.Jyson always wants to take a funny picture too. He cracks me up!Look, my twin Julie (John's sister). Apparently we got the same wardrobe memo (except she has cuter shoes).
