It was just over a year ago that I started this blog. My first real post was "Happy 40 to Me." And now, I'm "another year older and wiser too..." or so the Primary song says. It was a great day. John had the day off so we got to hang out together in the morning. John bought me beautiful pink roses:
Next my buddies Natalie and Barbie took me to get a pedicure and out to lunch at Pizza Factory. Fun, fun, fun.

Do you recognize my toes?That evening, we had a family party with a variety of desserts: ice cream sundaes, Donettes, and brownies. Very tasty treats. From my side: Jill came with two of her kids. (Tanya was out of town.) From John's side: his parents Bob & Joy, favorite Aunt Lorraine (from California), Sandy & Scott (from Wyoming), Julie & Travis & kids, and Nate and Sarah. (Sherry & family couldn't make it.) We had a great time chatting. I'm very grateful to have our families so close to us.
As Jyson used to say, "Happy to me!"

Yeah for pedicures and friends. I get together every June to get pedicures with two of my teaching buddies. We all had our first year together and have gotten together ever year since (6 years). It reminds me of you Barb an Natalie! I hope you are having an amazing summer!!

being married to a doctor i have a phobia of pedicures. there are so many incurable toenail funguses out there. many people pick them up when the get pedicures...
