February 2012

I picked up Jyson after soccer one day. He wanted to get his reading done, but didn't make it very far before crashing. This is a frequent sight in my car.
Another first-time mother experience - the Valentine's box. We weren't scheduled to have him, so I hadn't stocked up on supplies. We had to go pretty basic. Luckily I had some red & pink paper and my trusty Cricut to cut out the hearts and letters.

He was pretty proud of his "Love Box."
Next event in February: Jyson's soccer tournament in St. George.
I love this picture of him with his coach. He loves Coach Silver.
His team played hard, but didn't make it to the finals - which I'm always okay with because it means less games - still working on being a real soccer mom I guess.
After the games, we met one of his teammates, Gavin, and his mom at the St. George Temple to take a tour of the Visitors Center. We got there first. Jyson wanted to take some photos with my camera. I think he did quite a nice job!

Jyson and Gavin.
They love to be silly together.

We had a great time on the temple grounds. I hope he remembers it...
The next weekend, we headed down to St. George again - this time for John to ride 100 miles on his bike in the Zion Century with our friend Steve.
It was fun to catch up with him on the road.
At the end - great job boys!
Final event of the month - Jyson earned his Arrow of Light and Webelos badge.
They had a special ceremony for the Arrow of Light awards.
He was really proud of all his pins. He's just like his dad that way.
Another happy Scouter Mom moment. Way to go Jyson!
